
We exist to provide access to equestrian activities, to foster good horsemanship, and to create a community of practice that encourages safety, promotes good sportsmanship, and builds a learning environment that serves all ages of equestrians.

A Club supporter from childhood, Laura has built a unified team of Directors determined to grow the Club, improve our show grounds, and to find the funding necessary to provide an excellent experience to our members and visitors. Laura owns and operates Bagley Ridge Morgan Farm in Mapleton, Maine.

For all of Maddie's life, she's been a Club participant. Whether showing, assisting others, or stepping into a leadership role. As Vice President, Maddie uses her lifelong experiences as a horse owner for the good of the Club. Maddie also helps Laura set a vision for improvement and growth in the Club.

Alaina was born into a horse family and spent many hours caring for or riding her horses. She uses her accounting talents to keep us in good financial health and in good standing. Alaina comes from a long line of small business owners and currently helps manage her family's restaurants and garden center.


A carpenter by trade and an avid pilot, Shaun uses his construction experience and knowledge to manage our show grounds, offer building expertise, and keeps our grounds safe and beautiful. Shaun has owned horses most of his life and is owner of Bagley Ridge Morgan Farms and Bagley Construction, Co. Inc. in Mapleton, Maine.

As Show Chair, Kate plans, coordinates, and implements all of our shows. Her warm smile and experience makes it look easy. Kate uses her many years of instructor experience, horsemanship knowledge, and show experience to make each show an excellent experience. Kate is a small business owner and owns

Morgan returned to the Board after a short break to focus on her career and we couldn't be more pleased she came back to the Club. Morgan brings decades of experience at the Show Grounds, is a horse owner, and spends her days at an agricultural business. As membership chair, Morgan keeps memberships organized and current.

Mallory has been involved with horses her entire life, with experience that spans training, riding, and competition. From an early age, horses have been a constant part of her life, shaping both her skills and her deep respect for good horsemanship.

Danielle previously served as Barn and Stall Chair and is ready to step into her new role. Danielle owns several horses and is a dedicated team member at East of Eden Stables. Her commitment to horsemanship and the local equestrian community makes her a strong asset.
The Patricia Grant Sportsmanship Award is presented to the individual who best exemplifies the Mission of the Pine and Spurs Riding Club and the values of Patricia Grant, a dedicated member who gave her time, talent, and love to our equestrian community. This award recognizes the person who demonstrates the highest level of commitment to horsemanship, shows genuine care for the well-being of horses, and embodies the spirit of teamwork, responsibility, and good sportsmanship that Pat lived by. The recipient of this award not only excels in their equestrian pursuits but also inspires others through their dedication to family, community, and the love of horses. The 2025 recipient is Amanda Cushman.
